Well, I haven't written on this blog in a long time. Life has be so incredibly busy and I cannot beleive my daughter is 6 1/2 months!!! Since last writing, Stevi and Bryan have had their baby girl, Reese. She is adorable and tall and looks just like her mommy. She is now 2 months old. Reese's big brother Brody just turned 3!
Craig and Sarah's little boy, Drake (you can see a link to Drake's blog on either one of my blogs) just turned one this month. And Mike and Jacki's twin girls just turned 2. Where is the time going?
Ayla went on her first vacation with us, Jake and Kim, Craig, Sarah and baby Drake to Pompano Beach, Florida. It was fun!
A lot has happened with my family. It's been really hard on me...maybe even the hardest on me than anyone. My Mom and Dad decided to get a divorce and go their separate ways.
Gus has been traveling a lot for work. I have been busier than ever at work as well.
Things have been rough but I wouldn't change it all for the world. I am in love with my family, and me, Gus and Ayla are as happy as can be together.
Next week our friend Jon will be doing Ayla's 6 month pictures and a family photo shoot of the 3 of us.

My old friend, Stevi, from high school is pregnant and due in June! She also has a 2 year old son named Brody. Stevi and Bryan just found out they are having a girl this time!!! I am so excited. If you would have told me back in high school that my best friend and I were going to have girls so close together (and in the same grade) I wouldn't have believed it! This is awesome!
I just wish we lived a lot closer :( But that is okay, I'll have lots of excuses to come home.

Bora Bora

So I was filling out this "myspace survey" yesterday. Those things that ask you a bunch of random questions and you answer them for no reason at all other than boredom...
Anyway, one question asked me where in the world would I want to go if money were not an issue. My answer? Bora Bora for sure. Do you know about Bora Bora? Oh my gosh.
I also heard from a friend that Ellen was showing footage of her and her wife in Bora Bora over the holidays and I missed it!
Bora Bora is a volcano island (the volcano doesn't do anything) and the water around it is crystal clear. You stay in these little huts on the water and there is no land... you just walk around in the water. It's so amazing! Here are pictures.

Bora Bora is located in the South Pacific Ocean in between Australia and South America. It's by the French Polonesia islands.
Here it is from a far-away view. See how it holds in the shallow, crystal clear water around the island? It's awesome.

OK so now you know where I want to go more than anything :) I don't even know how you get there!

Grandma Margaret got a new puppy! It's a scotty and he doesn't have a name yet. He's very cute! We took the picture to email to Grandma Margaret's kids who are not in town to see the dog.

Christmas day with the Sansone's and Schulte's

I didn't take pictures on Christmas eve and most of Christmas day but my mom is sending me a few. I did take pictures at Gus's family's house once everyone started laughing at Grandpa Gus's gift: A sweatshirt that says "Italian Grandpa" on it. We got Mary a baseball style shirt (she likes baseball) That says New Grandma 09.

After we got home, we played Gus's new game "Scene it? Seinfeld". Of course he beat me 3 times- but I'm the only person I know that can be of any competition to him. It was still fun even though I cannot memorize every episode like he can!

Our Christmas

Gus and Chino and I decided to do our Christmas tonight considering we will be busy the next couple of days. It was a lot of fun! I got a new laptop bag, hair stuff that I wanted, a new digital picture frame, and of course my video camera among other things. Gus got an iphone dock/alarm clock, a dvd rack, a game called Scene it: Seinfeld (he LOVES Seinfeld the show), and some bluray dvd's. Chino got a new harness for walking and some new chewies that he loves! Ayla got a 25th anniversary Cabbage Patch (last year's edition) and her first two Disney DVDs: Ariel the Little Mermaid (which was my all-time fav), and Sleeping Beauty. We take pictures opening presents every year!

Crossroads Christmas Party

At Save-a-lot, I work in between our corporate office and our st. louis distribution center called Crossroads (which is where I was hired). Every year we have a really fun Christmas lunch where we all bring dishes and exchange gifts. We are a family there. Here are some of the pictures from today:

Chino does not look at you when you have a camera in your hand, as you can see. I think I've taken too many pictures and videos of him in his lifetime... he's tired of it! I don't think he'll mind when all the cameras focus on Ayla soon instead of him! ;)

12/20/08 Wedding and Early Christmas Present

Tonight Gus and I went to Laura and Pat's wedding which was a good time. I got a few pictures. It was in an art gallery which was different and neat. When we got home, Gus gave me an early Christmas present and said it's for the whole family. It was a new video camera! We are playing with the software now and we are going to learn how to turn our videos into "short clips" to upload to this blogger and Ayla's blog for viewing. I'll post our first video as soon as we figure it out!
